Born in 1958, Terry grew up in a lively Bahamian family, surrounded by the love and guidance of her parents, Walter and Violet Evans, along with her seven siblings. Her upbringing was filled with the sounds, flavors, and customs of the Bahamas, nurturing a deep pride in her heritage.
A Devoted Wife and Mother
Terry was a devoted wife to her late husband, Pastor Wilfred Bain, with whom she shared a life of faith and service. As a loving mother, she raised three beautiful children—Wilfred Jr., Krystal, and Brittany—all of whom have grown into productive, valued members of the community. Terry’s support for her husband’s ministry and her dedication to her family are testaments to the strength of her character and the values she imparts through her writing.

Terry Bain is devoted to preserving the cultural legacy of the Bahamas and fostering Christian values in today’s rapidly changing world. In addition, she remains actively involved in her community and church, continuing her lifelong service to others.
As a dedicated member of the Retired Nurses Guild, Terry remains connected to her profession, contributing her expertise and continuing to mentor younger generations of healthcare workers.
Terry mentors young girls through the Ministry at PACE, helping them navigate challenging life situations with faith, compassion, and guidance.
She leads weekly Good News Clubs in local primary schools, fostering spiritual development in young children by sharing Bible stories and teaching Christian values.
